{DIY Craft} A Mother's Day Trophy

Mother's Day is here, as usual the kiddos brought home the pretty crafts they made in school for mommy, but we had not forgotten about the grandmothers too.

So with the leftover cardboard from our new bedsheet set, we transformed them into heart shape trophies. One each for the grandma :)

Complete with little ones' colorful hand prints.

The duo busy mixing and coloring.

The little star marking her hand print..

The making? Simple. Just fold the cardboard into equal half, trace the shape of a heart (make sure the top of the heart are touching) and a rectangular for the base.

Just complete the designing and painting, then glue the rectangle together to form a trophy base.

Easy peasy..

Cutting with cardboard is rather challenging, so mommy did the job and leave the coloring to the little ones. They had fun mixing and messing around, but since we had laid layers of newspapers, I wasn't worry. Cleaning up was sweat free too.

Love the little hearts.

My little handsome made an extra cut-out art with the remaining cardboard and empty shoebox lid, pretty good huh... His creativity surprises me sometimes :)

Hope you like this paper craft and find new inspiration too.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there!
